Cheese |

| Cheese is a part of our history and a part of our culture with much evidence dating the making of cheese back to Egyptian times as well as early Middle Eastern and of course European periods. Originally created as a means to preserve milk, today the eating of cheese has evolved into a celebrated gastronomic experience. The smells, textures and tastes of cheeses are so varied and exciting it is hard |

| to believe that so few ingredients can be used to create such an assortment. Soft, stinky, dry, sharp, smoky, creamy, buttery, barnyardy, beefy, mushroomy, nutty..the list of adjectives that can describe the flavour of cheeses are endless.
At Dags & Willow, we pride ourselves on offering as much of a selection as we can of Artisanal cheeses from around the world. The term Artisanal refers to cheeses that are handmade by small, independent cheese makers using traditional methods. These methods often include the use of raw (unpasteurized) milk which maintains the full natural flavour of the milk to enhance the quality of the cheese. Our largest offering of cheeses come from Italy, Spain, France, England and Quebec. We also have wonderful local Ontario cheeses on display, as well as more obscure cheeses from other regions of the world whenever possible. We encourage our customers at Dags & Willow to be adventurous and taste different cheeses. We are here to guide you as you expand your cheese knowledge. |
