Dags & Willow Fine Cheese Gourmet Shop opened for business on December 15th, 2005. The store’s owners, Kelly Siskind and Steven Epstein began selling artisinal cheeses at the local Collingwood Farmer’s Market during the summer of 2005. missed having access to finer cheeses, something that they readily purchased and began researching as a hobby. The response from those who attended the market was inspiring and before the market ended in October, Kelly & Steven were looking for a location for their future business venture.
With Kelly’s background in both catering, and working as a chef in restaurants, a full working kitchen was built into the store, providing the means to create wonderful fresh prepared foods, while many different gourmet products and cheese accompaniments and accessories were added to the mix. The end result was the creation of a full cheese and gourmet store centrally located in downtown Collingwood. Named after the owner’s dogs; Dagny, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and Willow, a Collie/Shepherd cross, Dags and Willow Fine Cheese and Gourmet Shop boasts the largest collection of cheese in the Collingwood area, offering over 100 varieties of cheese at any given time & a try-before-you-buy policy that goes beyond just their superb collection of cheeses. Ultimately, the shopping experience is enjoyable, unique & personal. |
